TILTON — Artist Acacia Rogers will be teaching an eight-week fine art painting course at the Lakes Region Art Association Gallery, 120 Laconia Road, Suite 300 at Tanger Outlets, beginning Tuesday, Jan. 18, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Additional dates are Tuesdays, Jan. 25, Feb. 1, 8, 15, 22, and March 1, 8. Â
This thorough, beginner-friendly, eight-week class is a perfect start for any new painter, or a great repertoire builder for the intermediate artist. Rogers will use academic principals and self-taught techniques gathered from over 15 years experience creating animal art to help students improve and refine their animal drawing and painting skills.
Rogers will cover everything from anatomy, form, and perspective, to materials and how to select them, color mixing and values, choosing references, and using layers to build dimension. There will be side by side easel time, live demonstrations, guidance, and critiques.
