Anthony M. Velez, 25

Anthony "Tony" Marcos Velez, age 25, of Bridgewater, passed away on Sept. 25, 2026, as the result of an accident. Anthony was born on Feb. 26, 2001, in Tampa, Florida, the son of Michelle (Fournier) Montanez and Rafael Velez. Anthony’s family was an important part of his life.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Nina Diaz-Fournier and Jesus Montanez; his grandmother, Monica Fournier; his uncles, Paul Fournier and Adam Fournier; his aunt, Nicole Fournier Galarza; and many beloved cousins and extended family members.

Anthony was preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul Fournier, and carries with him the love and memories they shared.

Anthony was an avid athlete who enjoyed hockey, football, softball, and many other sports. He found joy in being active and sharing those experiences with the people around him. What truly defined Anthony, however, was his compassion, love, and selflessness. He had a genuine ability to care for others and make the people in his life feel valued and loved. Anthony was surrounded by many friends and touched the lives of countless people, leaving behind memories and a lasting impact that will continue to be cherished by all who knew him. We love you, Anthony. Forever and always.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, at the Dupuis Funeral Home, 11 Hill Ave. in Ashland.
