PLYMOUTH — A winter wonderland sounds magical to some, but to others it brings anxiety about heating bills. Help ease this anxiety by participating in the Keep The Heat On Fuel Assistance Gala. All proceeds of this event go directly to the Plymouth Area Community Closet’s fuel assistance program. Last year they helped 176 families and hope to do more this year. The PACC serves 15 communities and the need is great.
Tickets are now on sale for the 20th annual Keep The Heat On auction and fundraising event on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025, at Foster's Boiler Room, at bit.ly/KTHOtickets. The event always sells out so gather up friends and plan on a fun-filled Roaring Twenties-themed evening.
Silent auction items are pouring in and there will be something for everyone. Looking for something to stay warm (or cool)? There is a Mitsubishi Hyperheat Mini Split System with installation included, donated by Smith River HVAC. If getting away is on the list, try a five-day African safari. Closer to home, there is a two-hour eco tour of Newfound Lake for two people on a pontoon boat thanks to Newfound Lake Association. 61 Main Street, the new speakeasy-style lounge in Plymouth, has generously donated an evening for six people with two unique signature cocktails. There will also be gift baskets and gift certificates galore.
Keep The Heat On is organized and sponsored by the Plymouth Area Community Closet in their continued mission to support neighbors.
