MOULTONBOROUGH — The Moultonborough Public Library staff and Board of Trustees have launched a strategic plan that highlights a vision for the future of the library. The plan includes five goals that will serve to help guide services, programs, and enhancements made in the coming five years.Â
A central focus for library staff and the board is to provide opportunities for all and ensure library services and resources align with the local community’s needs and desires. To gain valuable insights from the community, a comprehensive survey was conducted by the UNH Survey Center. The information gathered from the survey directly informed the creation of the goals in the plan.Â
These goals range from providing services that are inclusive, accessible, and meaningful to patrons, to improved communication and increased engagement with the community, to others that focus on enhancing the use of the library’s facility, including its outdoor spaces. Importantly, the survey highlighted the community’s desire for a rich collection of materials, easy access to information, and a broad range of engaging programs – all of which are key components of the new strategic plan.
The library’s strategic plan and survey results can be found on the library’s website, moultonboroughlibrary.org.
