MEREDITH — Celebrate the spooky season at the Meredith Public Library, 91 Main Street with ghost hunts, tarot cards, pumpkin carving Halloween decor and a costume party.

All ages. Friday, Oct. 13, at 1 p.m., turn old books and discarded jars into Halloween decor. Friday, Oct. 20, 3:30 p.m., ghost hunt using a Ghost Hunting Kit to scan the library to see if there are any lurking about. Tuesday, Oct. 31, stop by and trick-or-treat at the library. Look for staff members dressed up as characters from a favorite spooky cartoon.
Ages 8-18. Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 3:30 p.m., Halloween FX Make-up Tutorial. Join Anna & Liz as they teach ghoulish makeup skills for Halloween. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at 6 p.m., Harry Potter Club.
Children-teens. Thursday, Oct. 19, 3:30 p.m., pumpkin carving/painting party. All materials provided, along with lots of help for little hands. Children under 10 must have a parent or guardian present. Registration is required as space is limited.
Children. Saturday, Oct. 21, 10 a.m. Halloween story time. Visit the library for a Halloween story, craft and snack. All children are welcome. No registration required. The kittens will be on site for story time. Friday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m., Halloween costume party. Wear your costume, create a Halloween craft and enjoy a treat. No registration required. All little goblins, ghouls, witches and monsters are welcomed.
Adults. Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 6:30 p.m. Meet the author of "Lugosi" via Zoom. Discuss Bela Lugosi and his iconic role as Dracula. Thursday, Oct. 26, at 6 p.m., introduction to tarot cards. Anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
