Meredith Lions Club hosts Fourth of July Rubber Ducky Race

The ducks are ready for their river debut this Saturday, July 4, for their annual tumble down Mill Falls as part of the Meredith Lions Club Fourth of July Rubber Ducky Race. Watch 4,000 ducks fight to be the first 28 to make it to the finish line. The top five prizes are cash followed by 23 gift certificates donated by local merchants. The race takes place at 4 p.m. but guests can buy tickets all day at the gazebo at Hesky Park from any Lions Club member. Watch the parade at 10 a.m., shop on Main Street, grab a bite at one of the many restaurants or from the Legion set up in Hesky Park. Enjoy the Sculpture Walk and finish with ice cream before the race. Make sure you have your spot on the grass or your boat to listen to the concert at the park to wait for the fireworks to close out the day.
