LRAA is calling young artists

The Lakes Region Art Association Gallery will be hosting its annual "Kids & Teens Art Exhibit" Sept. 25- Oct. 7.

This year is open for ages 12-17.

The LRAA Gallery "Kids&Teens Art Show" is a free community event intended to get our local youth and their families involved in the arts, and a great opportunity for the up-and-coming generation to "get their feet wet" in the experience of showing their work.

There will be a reception/party on Sunday, Sept. 25, from noon to 3 p.m. All participants are welcome to bring friends and family. To sign up, complete the form and submit by Saturday, Sept. 24, 2 p.m.

Guidelines for the show are as follows:

• Artwork can be in any hand-made 2-dimensional medium, but must be dry upon entry. No inappropriate or disturbing imagery.

• Maximum size 11x14 to ensure there is space for everyone.

• Artwork Drop Off:

Friday, Sept. 23, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 24, noon-2 p.m.

• Artwork Pick-Up:

Friday, Oct. 7, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
