LACONIA — Laconia Public Library is starting a series of programs for those ages 6-11. 

Story Sampler on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 6 p.m. is a big kid story time geared toward elementary and early middle school students who are looking for their next read. Attendees will listen to the first few chapters of a chapter book while doodling or relaxing. Copies of the book will be available to check out.

On Wednesday, Sept. 24, the library will host Sketchbook Society at 6 p.m. This is an art club focused on helping kids learn drawing skills and techniques.
