GILFORD  Being the steward to a little garden patch can prove more daunting than initially apparent. Keeping beds clean and plants happy involves careful culling of less than desirable neighbors. Join the Gilford Public Library on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 4 p.m. for “Weed Identification and Management.”

Ron Trexler, from the UNH Extension, will guide attendees through spotting weeds, what the different kinds may mean for a garden, and finally, myriad methods for removal. Though late in the season, this information will serve attendees well in all the planting seasons to come.
