GILFORD — Join the Gilford Public Library on the first Tuesday of each month as they explore different topics through the ever-popular Ted Talks. February’s topic is memory. Do you ever wonder if you are losing your memory? Join this month's TED talk for How Memory Works and Why Forgetting is Totally Okay. Neuroscientist Lisa Genova digs into two types of memory failures we regularly experience — and reassures us that forgetting is totally normal. We’ll gather on Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 10:30 a.m. to watch and discuss Genova’s talk. RSVP by calling the library as space is limited.
Later in the evening on Tuesday the 8th, the library invites you to join them virtually as they host The Local Eatery to present recipes for “mocktails” — delicious drinks without the booze. Just in time to celebrate Valentine’s Day at home or with friends and family. You will find the stream on the Gilford Public Library Facebook page on Feb. 8 at 5 p.m.
