Getting started with AI at the Wolfeboro Library on Sep. 22

WOLFEBORO — AI is suddenly everywhere, but many people are still unsure how to use it or when to trust it. Find out more about AI in an informative program at the Wolfeboro Public Library on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m. with retired IT professional Bill Gassman. In this interactive, practical session, Gassman will demonstrate tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini and show how they can help with everyday tasks like writing, planning, research, organizing information, and brainstorming.

The program will include live demos, audience participation, open discussion, and plain-language guidance on what AI does well, where it falls short, and when human judgment still matters. No technical background is needed. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions or real problems they would like to explore. A phone, tablet, or laptop, with access to an AI tool is optional.

Gassman is a Moultonborough resident, retired IT professional, and community volunteer who helps local groups understand and use new technologies in practical ways. This program is free and open to all.
