BELMONT— Friends of the Belmont Public Library has been selected as a beneficiary of the Shaw’s  Give Back Where It Counts Reusable Bag Program for the month of December.

The Shaw’s Give Back Where It Counts Reusable Bag Program, which launched in March 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal of making a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.

The Friends of Belmont Public Library was selected as the December beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Shaw’s located in the Belknap Mall. The Friends of the Belmont Public Library will receive a $1 donation every time a $3 Give Back Where It Counts Reusable Bag is purchased at this location during December.

“We are thrilled to be chosen for this charity project,” said Bonnie Isabelle, president of the board of the organization. “This donation will help us fulfill our mission to support our treasured local library, which is looking to expand.”
