GILMANTON ― The Gilmanton Year-Round Library Association Board of Directors announced that a donation had been received from a Lakes Region Casino charitable gaming event that ran from May 19-26.
Two Gilmanton organizations were designated as charitable recipients: the GYRLA and the Gilmanton Historical Society. They received at least 35% of gross revenue from games of chance, after deducting prizes. This equated to $8,286 for each organization.
The casino is temporarily closed for renovations, which will significantly upgrade the facility.
