Franklin Savings Bank grants $15,000 to Winnisquam Youth Softball League

FRANKLIN — Franklin Savings Bank recently granted $15,000 to the Winnisquam Youth Softball League to support renovating a softball field in Sanbornton, and building a dedicated field in Northfield to support approximately 80 local families, and girls ages 4 to 14. Currently, limited access to appropriate field space restricts scheduling, growth and consistency. These dedicated fields will improve player safety and create a structured, supportive environment where girls can build confidence and skills both on and off the field.

By creating reliable, age-appropriate playing spaces, the league will enhance player safety, expand opportunities for practices and games, and support the continued growth of youth softball in the region. Beyond athletics, the new and improved fields will serve as community gathering places where young athletes can develop essential life skills such as confidence, leadership, teamwork, and resilience.
