Stephen Hodges: If the Perkins & the Robinsons aren't close, what else isn't true?

I read with a bit of humor “Mr. Rasp’s” letter in this past weekend’s addition of The Laconia Daily Sun. In his letter he states, “For those not familiar, Richard Robinson is a close associate of David Perkin’s friends and family.” I have personally known Richard Robinson and his immediate family for some 40 years. And for about the same time frame, if not longer, I’ve known the Perkins family going back to David’s grandfather and father.

I can unequivocally state, as an absolute fact, that the Robinson family and the Perkins Family are not a “close associate” of each other. If Ms. Perkins and Ms. Robinson met in the grocery store isle, they would not greet each other, not out of disrespect, but because they would not recognize each other, as the two have never met. Richard Robinson has not spoken of his candidacy with David Perkins. I know this to be a fact. So, if “Mr. Rasp” is so wrong on this “fact” in his letter to The Sun, what other “facts” in this letter are also wrong? One has to wonder.
