To The Daily Sun,
I would like to remind all drivers to be aware of their surroundings. This morning as I was walking on Sky Pond Road in New Hampton, two pickups were coming toward me as I was walking on the side of the road facing traffic. The first one (silver) pulled toward the center of the road, the second deliberately swerved at me. I ran into the bushes to avoid getting hit. Of course he didn't stop to see if I was OK, or to apologize. There were two kayaks in that truck, and I assumed they were headed to Sky Pond to fish or kayak. After I returned to my car, I found the two trucks at the pond parking lot. I left a note on the blue truck's windshield asking him to call me so we could discuss it. So far no call. Once again, I'm just asking all drivers to be aware of their surroundings and I'm thanking God that I wasn't killed by this careless driver.
