Opechee Garden Club will host a free Floral Pumpkin Workshop, led by Carole Curry, on Monday, Oct. 5, at Gilford Community Church. First is the club's business meeting at 1 p.m., followed by the workshop. Members and guests will decorate a white pumpkin, using nature as a guide. Participants should bring one 6x8-inch real white pumpkin; a collection of small colored leaves, flower petals, and ferns, flattened and dried; a cookie sheet or tray to carry the pumpkin home; half-inch paintbrushes; and sewing pins. Pre-registration is required by emailing OGCPublicity.pattiflodin@gmail.com. (Courtesy photo)
