To The Daily Sun,
I’m voting to re-elect President Trump. This isn’t to say I like him, I don’t particularly. But I do like many of the things that have happened under him. Israel has never had a more reliable friend and ally in the White House. Our embassy should have been in Jerusalem decades ago. It’s just an example of what other presidents, on both sides, have talked about. President Trump did it. The hope of maybe true peace, with the establishment of recognition and diplomatic relations between Israel, the UAE, Bahrain, and optimism that other countries in the region will join, no other president would have us where we are today.
Military and veterans affairs, particularly in health care, have vastly improved over the last four years. USMCA replacing the faulty NAFTA, appointments to the Supreme Court and, indeed, other federal courts, who can read and understand the Constitution, and agree to weigh cases before them strictly on that basis.
As I said, I don’t particularly like the man, but elections are about choices. Here I am looking at the Harris/Biden ticket, with the likelihood of an administration heavily influenced by Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, maybe John Kerry, Eric Holder, Hillary and Bill, Obama? Reversing improving border security, reversing steps to make China a fair trading partner, it just leaves me very discouraged. I have a choice to make and I’ll take President Trump.
