To The Daily Sun,
I am sincerely grateful to everyone who made it to the meet and greet session at the 405 Pub & Grill on Oct. 14, and to those who visited the candidates forum at the Taylor Community on Oct. 16. Their energy, queries, and commitment to our community validate the reasons why I am standing to represent Laconia because collectively we can do better.
I'm excited to say that I will be having a second meet and greet prior to Election Day. More information will be forthcoming as we continue the discussion about the future of our city.
Laconia is a city with great potential, but we need bold leadership to achieve it. We need to focus on attracting new business in, revitalizing our local economy, and creating opportunities for working families. We need to address the rising realities of homelessness with accountability, and real solutions that work not just for today, but for tomorrow.
I'm proud to have won the support of leaders who share that vision. They are former Gov. Chris Sununu, Sheriff Bill Wright, and the New Hampshire Building and Construction Trades Council. All of them have spoken of their confidence in my ability to lead Laconia toward a brighter, more prosperous future. They're not just a personal achievement, they're a sign that experienced leaders see the potential for what we can create together.
This election is not about any one candidate. It's about choosing a direction. It's about deciding if or whether we continue to be stuck in the past or move forward with purpose. I believe that we need to change and I'm dedicated to working with all voters to make it happen.
Let's build a better Laconia together.
Rep. Mike Bordes
