To The Daily Sun,
As a state representative I can see firsthand how important a new law can affect people’s lives. I am writing to share why I will vote yes in support of the Right to Work House Bill 238. I am not against unions but I am for the right of a person to choose for themselves if they want to be a member. I believe it is against one’s freedom to be forced to pay dues or fees to any organization that they do not want be a member of. I support local businesses and will always do whatever I can to help our economy. But no one should be able to force a hard-working New Hampshire man or woman that they must give part of their earnings to a group they are not in favor of. In the end it simply comes down to freedom and the right to choose for yourself. New Hampshire is the “Live Free or Die” state it is not the “Live free or Die just as long as you pay for it” state.
