Rebecca Dixon: Denise Riley: Person of character, compassion, conviction

I am pleased to offer my wholehearted recommendation for Denise Riley as she seeks to serve as state representative for Laconia’s District 5.

I have known Denise since 1994, when we began working together at the New Hampshire Public Defender’s Office. We worked side by side from 1994 through 2000, and during those years I had the opportunity to see firsthand her dedication, compassion, integrity, and professionalism.

Denise has devoted more than 30 years to public service as a defense investigator, working to protect the constitutional rights of all citizens. Her career reflects a deep commitment to fairness and justice. She understands that behind every case is a person whose life can be profoundly affected by the decisions made on their behalf.

One of Denise’s greatest strengths is her ability to listen. Throughout her career, she has listened carefully to people from all walks of life, taken the time to understand their circumstances, and treated everyone with dignity and respect. I believe this is one of the most important qualities an elected representative can have.

Denise has made Laconia her home for more than five years and understands the challenges facing its residents, including rising housing costs and property taxes. She is committed to putting the needs of local families, homeowners, and working people first.

Her education in criminal justice from Saint Anselm College, combined with decades of experience serving the public, has prepared her to approach difficult issues thoughtfully and responsibly.

Having known Denise for more than three decades, I can say with confidence that she is a person of character, compassion, and conviction. She will listen to the people of Laconia, work hard on their behalf, and represent them with integrity. I am proud to recommend her for state representative for Laconia District 5.
