To The Daily Sun,
I’m honored to seek votes for reelection to the New Hampshire Electric Cooperative (NHEC) Board of Directors. Over the past year, I’ve worked hard to deliver on the priorities I ran on: affordability, reliability, and broadband expansion — issues that directly impact all members.
On affordability, I voted for a budget and rate plan that resulted in the lowest electric rates in the state, ensuring members pay as little as possible while keeping the Co-op financially stable.
For reliability, I supported increasing our tree-trimming budget by $500,000 to reduce outages and backed a capital plan that strengthens and modernizes our distribution system, improving service quality and response times.
On broadband, I’ve advocated for smart, cost-effective infrastructure investments to expand high-speed internet access — a necessity for work, education, and health care.
Looking ahead, NHEC must stay financially sound and flexible to meet evolving energy challenges. As a board member, I’ll continue to push for responsible decisions that balance short-term cost control with long-term infrastructure investments.
With experience in financial management, municipal leadership, and nonprofit governance, I bring a results-driven approach to board service. I’m committed to ensuring NHEC delivers reliable, affordable electricity while preparing for the future.
It’s been a privilege to represent members, and I respectfully ask for their vote to continue this important work.
I also encourage readers to support Alana Albee, Tom Mongeon, John Goodrich, and Bob MacLeod — fellow candidates who share a strong commitment to the Co-op’s mission and its members.
