To The Daily Sun,

This is a letter to tell the community how outstanding the emergency room staff is at Laconia Hospital. With so much controversy surrounding the Concord Hospital-Laconia situation, I just had to write this letter. Here’s why:

After having a CT scan at Laconia hospital 10 days ago, I was immediately taken downstairs to the ER for further analysis and treatment. It was determined that I had blood clots in my lungs, pulmonary embolism. That’s when a blood clot forms in a lung artery.

Every employee in the Laconia ER that I interacted with was remarkable. They all helped me to make the best of a tense situation. From the ER doctor on duty, to the nurses, to the technicians that performed ultrasounds on my legs and heart, they all treated me as if I were their only patient. I never heard a negative word from anyone about the situation at the hospital. They all did their jobs as total professionals, and I was their focus.

We are all very fortunate to have the Laconia ER staff on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I hope no one ever has to be taken to the ER unexpectedly as I was, but if they do, they will be in great hands at Laconia hospital emergency room.

Thanks to Laconia ER.
