Mary Ann Drapcho: Sununu should fulfill promise to veto gerrymandered maps

Gov. Chris Sununu needs to take a close look at Larry Hogan, Republican governor of Maryland. This governor is a walking, talking example of a man who has the courage to follow his convictions.

After a year of fighting, Republican Gov. Hogan vetoed Maryland's egregiously gerrymandered maps.

Our governor has stated that if the redistricting maps do not pass the smell test, he will veto them. The maps are in and they smell like someone forgot to take out the trash on a hot summer's day. Surely Sununu knew that gerrymandering was a given when he said this.

We're all waiting with baited breath to see what you'll do Gov. Sununu ...

For a shot of political courage, you should give Gov. Hogan a call.
