To The Daily Sun,

South Dakota's U.S. Rep. Dusty Johnson had NPR News time to explain a government shutdown. A Republican, he blames Democrats for a possible shutdown. Rep. Johnson used a phrase I can't let pass. He called what the Democrats want — "exquisite concessions." Exquisite is "extremely beautiful" or "delicate" for meaning. Concessions are "demands to be granted."

Democrats want Medicaid funding that Republicans would cut. Factcheck: "The Republican budget authorizes up to $880 billion in cuts to Medicaid by directing the Energy and Commerce Committee to find those spending cuts. In swap, Republicans want tax cuts for billionaires." So — "exquisite concession" with exquisite implying "only decorative?" Preserving medical-costs help for those who need it? How clearer could it be that Democrats want a budget taking the side of the people v. Republicans' uncaring of the people's needs?

When hospitals aren't reimbursed for emergency-room care, because Medicaid no longer (Republican budget effect) pays, we'd also see possible hospital closings.

Thanks to Democrats in our U.S. House and Senate, taking the side of the people.
