George Mottram: Didn’t win Primary Election, but thankful for the support

To all the voters in Moultonborough that voted for me as your representative in Carroll District 3, I just wanted to say thanks very much, and to those people that stood at the polls with the signs, thanks very much. We only got 26% of the vote, which was not enough for a win. It was rather obvious to me that all the surveys I filled out, and all the pledges I made was not important to the rest of the voters.

I am still a hardworking man, and I am a man of my word. I will not promise to do something and then do something else. At the completion of all the surveys and the pledges, I had a high rating and even pledged to do the job in Concord that was required of me. Unfortunately, the majority of voters do not care about the attendance record. If a person cannot represent the people in Concord when required, why bother filing for the representative position if they do not have the time.

The other two candidates that were on the ballot and won, are Richard Brown and Karel Crawford. Being an elected representative is not an easy job and requires a lot of time. I will pray that both representatives, Richard Brown and especially Karel Crawford, will have the time required to do a good job for the people in our district. Please pray for them, and may God bless all the people in Carroll County District 3. Remember to vote on Nov. 3.
