To The Daily Sun,
Many homeowners in N.H. are frustrated that state elected leaders are not addressing high property taxes. Although there was some relief last session, there is no lasting change. Most of our elected officials are afraid to address the issue because it might mean that the dreaded words broad-based-tax would be used.
If that's not the answer to a $40.26 per thousand rate in Claremont compared to a $7.15 per thousand in Moultonborough (revenue.nh.gov), what is? Who is even willing to discuss the matter?
Andru Volinski, candidate for governor, is arguing that it's time face the fact that the property tax needs revision. We simply can't go on sticking our heads in the sand while many, especially during a pandemic, are wondering how to pay their property tax bill and what happens if they don't.
That's why I'm voting for Andru and hoping you will also. Send you absentee ballot in early or go to the polls on September 8 and vote for change. Vote Andru Volinski for governor!
