To The Daily Sun,
In this pivotal moment for our nation, we find ourselves ruled not by wisdom or steady hands, but by a jester — one whose antics and disregard for truth have become a dangerous spectacle. The president, once expected to embody dignity and responsibility, now seems more interested in performance than in the well-being of the country or the world.
What is perhaps more troubling than the jester himself are the courtiers who surround him. These advisers and officials — vice president, secretary of state, national security adviser, and others — once charged with serving the public, now appear to serve only the whims of their leader. Their loyalty is not to the Constitution or to the American people, but to the fleeting rewards of proximity to power.
While the world faces escalating crises — wars, climate disasters, and economic instability — our leadership chooses pageantry over policy, self-interest over service. History teaches us that when courtiers enable a fool, the consequences are borne not just by the court, but by the entire kingdom.
It is time for citizens to demand better. We deserve leaders who act with integrity, not those who profit from chaos or cheer on the flames. The stakes are too high for us to remain silent while jesters and their courtiers play with the future of our nation and the world.
