To The Daily Sun,

Recently, an anonymous Facebook page posted a secretly taken photo of neighbors at Vulgar Brewing, spinning it into a dark tale of political coordination. As someone pictured — and whose name was misspelled — I want to set the record straight.

It was a meeting of the Civil Discourse Club, a monthly gathering where people with different viewpoints discuss history, economics, local and national issues. We meet in public precisely because open conversation across differences is good for a healthy community.

Unable to find actual misconduct, the poster manufactured it: sneak a photo, add snide insinuations, and let online outrage take over.

Hiding behind a pseudonym to attack neighbors isn't public service — it is cowardice and poison to public life.
