To The Daily Sun,
Center Harbor and New Hampton need a change in representation. Amber Schaefer is the candidate that will best serve the entire community of New Hampshire House of Representatives constituents in Belknap District 1.
Amber’s work and life experience have given her a wealth of knowledge on how recent changes and cuts to the funding of healthcare and education will hurt all of us by raising costs and taxes.
She is eager to get to work to improve the quality of life for all of us by preserving the environment, increasing the availability of affordable housing, and instituting reasonable regulation of the school voucher program. Not only does Amber have vision, she also has solutions to offer.
I urge voters to make their own comparison of the positions of the two candidates as stated on their websites.
Equally valuable would be a thorough reading of incumbent Tom Plosjaz’s voting record during his time in the Statehouse. Here are a few highlights:
- Against increasing the minimum wage to $15 an hour
- For eliminating school vaccination requirements
- Against banning landfills within two miles of state parks
- For cutting the business tax
- Against adding a tax on non-primary residences
Amber Schaefer’s moderate views and her desire to see everyone thrive give hope in a time when the Free State crew in Concord appear to be doing everything possible to ensure the opposite.
