DURHAM — Durham police are seeking help to locate Alexis Garcia, 24, a University of New Hampshire student who was last seen by friends Nov. 21.
His vehicle, a black 2021 Mercedes, was located at the Scammell Bridge rest area located off Route 4 in Durham. The Durham Police Department determined the vehicle was parked there and unoccupied from Saturday, Nov. 23 until the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 26, when it was secured by police.
On Tuesday, Nov. 15 Durham police said, they were asked to conduct a welfare check of Garcia.
Garcia is described as a 5’9” tall male, with brown hair and brown eyes. His last known clothing description is unknown. He is originally from Illinois. He has ties to the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force ROTC.
The Durham Police Department does not believe foul play is involved in Garcia’s disappearance. If anyone has any information related to this investigation or believes they have seen Garcia, contact the Durham Police Department at detective@ci.durham.nh.us.
