"One of the many artifacts the Meredith Historical Society possesses is this Mothers’ Service Flag, made in 1942, which had been displayed in the Meredith Public Library the same year. To acknowledge and help celebrate America’s 250 years, both groups decided to display the flag once again in the library. I find it a privilege to be able to view such items as this flag as a part of the history or our great country," wrote Sharon E. Ryan, of Meredith, who shared this photo last month. The flag is on display through the summer.
