STEWARTSTOWN — The Swift Diamond Riders Snowmobile Club’s 26th annual New Hampshire SnoDeo, held last weekend, proved to be a good experience for those who took part.

Kurt Muhlfelder, president of South End Media and organizer of SnoDeo, said that Arctic Cat and Ski Doo provided over 1,000 demonstration rides on their new 2019 models.

“We didn’t have the turnout we wanted but a lot of people got to ride and our vendors had good days,” said Muhlfelder.

He said that even though the club’s trail system had 20 inches or more of snow in most sections there was a perception that conditions weren’t that good.

“If people don’t have snow in their backyard they don’t think anyone else has snow. It’s the same problem many ski areas have,” said Muhlfelder.

He said that it was the second year that the event has been located at the Swift Diamond Riders’ warming hut at 978 Diamond Pond Road in Stewartstown.

He expected that the big snowstorm that hit New England last night would produce good conditions for snowmobilers all over the North Country this coming  weekend.
