CONCORD — Attorney General John M. Formella shared this week that the Merrimack County Grand Jury has indicted Tristan A. Anderson, of Hooksett, for three felonies related to threats to target Gov. Kelly Ayotte.

The grand jury indicted Anderson for felony attempting to harm a government official; attempting to throw or place explosives; and threats to a government official. The charges of attempting to harm an official and attempting to throw explosives are punishable by 7.5 to 15 years in state prison and a fine of up to $4,000. Threatening an official is punishable by 3.5 to 7 years in state prison and a fine of up to $4,000.

Anderson was previously arrested by State Police and charged by criminal complaint. He has been held in custody since his arrest. A hearing in Merrimack County Superior Court is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8.

The indictments against Anderson are merely allegations, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at trial.
