An articie in our February 5 edition mistakenly reported that the Gilford Budget Committee reduced the appropriation for the Supervisors of the Checklist recommended by the Board of Selectmen by replacing an hourly rate with an annual stipend. In fact, the selectmen recommended the annual stipend, which the Budget Committee endorsed. However, when the selectmen subsequently restored the hourly rate, adding $1,624 to the budget, the Budget Committee refused to concur.
CORRECTION: Gilford BudCom did not reduce checklist appropriation
