GILFORD — Jacob Stanislav Pearson passed away at home on March 17, 2026. He died from undiagnosed congenital heart disease with his devoted cat Shadow by his side.
Jake was born on July 20, 1992, in Yekaterinburg, Russia, and joined our family at the age of 4 with his sisters, Oksana and Katherine. He graduated from Laconia High School in 2011, where he enjoyed playing drums and participating in soccer and lacrosse.
Jake had a deep love for video games and animated films; he was especially fascinated by their artistry and graphics. He also enjoyed waterskiing, snowmobiling, and motorcycling — especially with his father, brother, and grandfather. As a gifted artist, Jake created work that was admired by many, though in his quiet humility, he often set aside or discarded pieces that others would have cherished.
For 12 years and 5 months, Pitco Frialator was an important part of Jake’s life, giving him structure and purpose. He was deeply devoted to his work and was known for arriving early each day to ensure he was never late.
Jake is survived by his parents, Jeff and Carrington Pearson; his brother, Benjamin Pearson and his wife Jennifer; his sisters, Brooke Flathers and her husband Mike, Oksana Pearson, and Katherine Pearson. He is also survived by his six nephews, Theodore and Thomas Pearson, Zeke and Jack Flathers, and Lucas and Logan Pearson; his niece, Cara Flathers; his grandfathers, Warren Mitchell and Malcolm Pearson; his aunts, Jennifer Mitchell and Terry Lavin; his cousin, Maggie Mitchell and her fiancé Kyle Leighton; and the love of his life, Morgan Monette. He was predeceased by his grandmothers, Janet Mitchell and Marjorie Pearson, and his aunt, Judy Pearson.
One of Jake’s proudest experiences was helping his family raise a great Dane named Chloe for the Service Dog Project. The family later welcomed a litter that went on to be trained as mobility assistance dogs, supporting veterans, adults, and children in need.
A shared service for Jake and his grandfather Warren Mitchell, who passed within days of Jake, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, at St. James Episcopal Church, 2238 Parade Road, Laconia. There will be parking and a shuttle from the family land just past the church. There is no parking on Parade Road.
For those unable to attend, a livestream of the service will be available on YouTube. Here is the link: youtube.com/live/bEbEayV4BpI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jake’s name may be made to Mobility Danes of New England/Service Dog Project, P.O. Box 629, Ipswich, MA 01938, or by visiting mobilitydanesofnewengland.com.
Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home & Cremation Services/603Cremations.com, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, is assisting the family with arrangements. For more information and to view an online memorial, visit wilkinsonbeane.com.
