American Legion Post 1 in Laconia served breakfast on Father's Day, Sunday morning. Fathers ate free, along with children under 12. Anyone else paid $7 for their meal. The American Legion Post holds the breakfast every year, provided by the auxiliary, with orders including anything from blueberry or chocolate-chip pancakes and eggs, to potatoes, bacon and sausage. A self-serve buffet contained toast with butter, biscuits and sausage gravy, and beans. The breakfast was busier than normal, as Saturday marked the state of Laconia Motorcycle Week, rather than it ending on Father's Day weekend, as in other years.
