MADISON — A Laconia driver was charged with drunk driving and drug offenses last month in Carroll County.

Bradley Perreault, 53, of Laconia, is charged with driving under the influence; possessing a controlled substance after a previous conviction; driving after privileges were revoked; driving with a suspended license; being in charge of a place where drugs are kept; transporting drugs in a car; and failure to dim headlights.

Trooper Leart Bakraqi of State Police was patrolling Route 41 when he stopped a 2011 Toyota Corolla, driven by Perreault, because he did not dim his headlights at 7:40 p.m. on Dec. 29.

During the investigation roadside, Perreault was charged for the criminal and vehicular offenses, according to a State Police spokesperson.

He was transported to the Troop E barracks in Tamworth, and released on a promise to return to court. He is scheduled for a hearing in Ossipee District Court at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28.
