High Potential‘s third season may not arrive for a while, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to start dreaming about what comes next for Morgan Gillory (Kaitlin Olson) and her team at the LAPD.

While the show moves to the midseason slate for a 2027 premiere, TV Insider caught up with stars Javicia Leslie and Deniz Akdeniz, who play the LAPD’s Daphne and Oz, on the Disney Upfront carpet in New York City on May 12. And while viewers await the fate of new Captain Nick Wagner (Steve Howey), these stars can’t help but envision where their investigative adventures will take them next.

“I would love something super deep with Soto,” Leslie muses, “like a Daphne-Soto driven storyline that allows those two worlds to really combine.” It would be an epic team-up if the show were to tackle a Daphne and Soto (Judy Reyes) story in Season 3. What that would entail is for the writers to potentially explore.

Meanwhile, Akdeniz is eager to deepen his onscreen bond with Daniel Sunjata‘s Karadec, as he adds, “I feel like Karadec and Oz need to go undercover for something. I don’t know where it is…”

“It’s gonna be so silly,” Leslie chimes in.

“It’s gonna be silly. That’s why. It’s gonna go poorly, and then we’re gonna need help,” Akdeniz explains, illustrating the benefit of such a plot. While the storylines for Season 3 remain unknown for now, these insights are a fun hint at where episodes could lead viewers as they wait for High Potential‘s TV return.
