Millennials tune in! Even Stevens star Steven Anthony Lawrence finally got to play on Season 5 of The Floor. How did the former child actor do?

Lawrence played Bernard “Beans” Aranguren on the Disney Channel show, Even Stevens, from 2001 to 2003. The actor also starred in The Amanda Show, The Even Stevens Movie, Kicking and Screaming, Cheaper By The Dozen, Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat, and more. His most recent appearance on screen was in an episode of Bad Therapist in 2022.

Now, Lawrence is trying to win $250,000 on The Floor. He finally got to play for the first time on May 20. How did he do?

The actor was the first duel of the night. Morgan had 16 pieces of the floor and was the last duel on the previous episode, so she started off the game. As a cosplayer, she decided that an appropriate category to duel against would be “The Renaissance Faire,” which was Lawrence’s category.

Host Rob Lowe asked him what his favorite role was, and Lawrence said that it was “definitely Beans from Even Stevens.” He shared that he picked “The Renaissance Faire” because he once played an elf and has been many characters in his life, so he feels like it was fitting.

Lawrence was in the lead until he got one wrong. He had 25 seconds left on his clock when he got another right. Morgan had 27 and correctly guessed, so the turn moved back to him.

They were pretty even until Morgan got stumped on “Tomato Throwing,” which caused her to be at 15 seconds compared to Lawrence’s 20. She also passed on “Monks,” which left her with three seconds. Morgan’s time ran out on the next clue, so the Even Stevens star won the duel, earning 17 pieces of the floor, inheriting “Global News.”

Lawrence decided to go back to the floor. However, he was called up again later in the show. Anthony, an educator, versed Lawrence in “Global News.”

Lawrence was doing well until he got to 28 seconds. The game show contestant got one right when the clock got down to 10 seconds. Anthony was in the lead until he kept getting ones wrong. He finally got one right, but was six seconds compared to Lawrence’s eight seconds.

Anthony was down to one second, but Lawrence couldn’t figure out the last clue and ran out of time, causing him to lose the duel. Anthony inherited 19 pieces of the floor, sending Lawrence home.

“Steven, so close!” Lowe said.

He is not the first actor to appear on The Floor. Brian O’Halloran, Eric Lloyd, Dllyan Christopher, and reality stars have also appeared on past seasons.
