Elvis Presley‘s ex and actress Ann-Margret recently made her first public appearance since suffering an injury after a fall.
On April 29, the 84-year-old actress, singer, and dancer attended an event at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills, California.
For the outing at the Margaret Herrick Library, Margret donned a neon green look and appeared to be in good spirtis. She received a commemorative United Service Organizations (USO) Challenge Coin that honored her “years of service to American service members,” according to a news release, per People. Margret is only the second person to receive the honor, aside from Bob Hope.
USO added, “2026 marks the 85th birthdays for both Ann-Margret and the USO, united in their shared commitment to lift spirits, serve those who serve and bring a touch of home wherever duty calls.”
Margret’s public appearance was her first since a medical scare early last month. “I fell the other day, and so now my right elbow is broken,” she told Parade on April 11. The accident also caused her to cancel an autograph signing.

For about a year, Margret dated Elvis after meeting him while filming Viva Las Vegas. Their romance began in 1963, when the “King of Rock and Roll” was engaged to Priscilla Presley, as the actress detailed in her 1994 autobiography, Ann-Margret: My Story.
“It was a joy working with E.P.,” Margret told Fox News Digital in 2023. “We felt music the same way. We would listen to music, we would look at each other and woo! We would be moving the same way.”
