LACONIA — Stephanie “Suki” Anne Smith, 57, of Harvard Street passed away on May 4, 2024, at Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord after a heroic 15-month battle with cancer.

Suki was born on Oct. 11, 1966 in Concord the daughter of Andrew Smith and Betty (Judd) Smith. She grew up in Canterbury and graduated from Belmont High School. She was a cook at Concord Hospital - Laconia for eight years. Suki enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, camping, riding her motorcycle and most of all spending time with her grandkids.

Suki was a big part of the sober community in Laconia and had celebrated her two-year sobriety on March 23, 2024.

Suki is survived by her daughters, Megan Maynard and her husband Arthur Maynard, of Tilton, Melissa Cole and her husband Jake Cole, of Laconia, and Nina Pope, of Rochester; sister, Deb Knowlton, of Utah; brothers, Jim Smith, of Maine, Steve Smith, of Gilmanton, and Alan Smith of Loudon; three grandkids, Jacob Cole, Arthur “AJ” Maynard and Natalie Cole; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 9, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home,164 Pleasant St..
