ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida — Robert Lee Waldron, 83, died Thursday at his home following a brief illness. Mr. Waldron had been a resident of Florida since 1989. He had previously lived in New Hampshire.

He was born in Pittsfield, MA on September 1, 1925, the son of the late Augustine and Nina Waldron of Hampton, NH. He graduated from Concord High School and attended Tilton Prep School. He was also a veteran of WW II where he served in the US Army Air Corps.

He had been employed at Coca Cola Bottling Co., Scott and Williams, and sold insurance when he lived in the Lakes Region. He also worked at Hampshire Chemical in Nashua. After he moved south, he was a regional manager for Red Lobster restaurants.

Bob loved his cat, Haus, and enjoyed watching sports, reading, and playing solitaire on his computer. He also enjoyed geneology and put together a book of his ancestry for each of his children. His true passion was being a chef and spending time in his later years with his grandchildren Tyler and Matt, as well as with his daughter Kim and son-in-law Bryan.

Survivors include his five children, Cynthia Foster, Mike Waldron and Cathy Dougherty of Gilford, Nicole Taylor of Kansas City, MO and Kim Waldron of St. Augustine, FL, his brother Lew Waldron, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 1997 and his brother Arthur in 2004. He had formerly been married to Cecile Waldron of Gilford who died in 2001.
