MEREDITH — Robert “Bob” J. McPhee Sr. 81 of 16 High Street, Meredith, died at the Elliot Hospital, Manchester Saturday August 20, 2005 after a sudden illness. Mr. McPhee was born February 26, 1924 in Meredith, the son of John and Agnes (Collard) McPhee. He was a life-long resident of Meredith. He was an accountant in Meredith for many years.

Mr. McPhee was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church. He graduated as valedictorian of Meredith High School class of 1942 and also valedictorian of New Hampshire College class of 1945.

Survivors include two sons, Robert “Bob” J. McPhee Jr. and his wife Catherine of Bedford, and John E. McPhee of Dover; two grandchildren, Brian M. McPhee of Manchester and Christine A. McPhee of Meredith; and one great-granddaughter, Caitlin Rose McPhee of Manchester.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday August 24, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia using the Carriage House entrance.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday August 25, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, 300 Rt. 25 Meredith. The Rev. Richard B. Thompson, pastor of the church, will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in Village Cemetery, Meredith.
