Raymond R. Reed, 86

LACONIA — Raymond Robert Reed, 86, of Frank Bean Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at his home with his loving family by his side.

Raymond was born Nov. 21, 1930, in New Britain, Connecticut, son of the late Raymond R. and Vada "Effie" (Carleton) Reed.

He was the owner and operator of Reed's Enterprises, Rental properties for more than 50 years.

Raymond enjoyed collecting old pictures of the City of Laconia and was a Boston Red Sox fan.

Raymond is survived by his three sons, Robert "Bob" R. Reed of Belmont, William "Bill" K. Reed and his wife, Sherry of Laconia, and Raymond "Mikey" M. Reed and his wife, Heidi of Laconia; five grandchildren, Chris Reed, Elizabeth Aresnault, Randi Reed-Fogarty, Craig Reed and Katie Reed; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Effie Peshka of Burlington, Connecticut; two nieces and one nephew.

In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his loving wife, Patricia (Perkins) Reed.

Calling Hours will be held Friday, Feb. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance. There will be no funeral services. Burial will be in the family lot at South Road Cemetery, Belmont in the spring.
