Paul Raymond Larose

GILFORD — Paul Raymond Larose, 76, of Cotton Hill Road, passed away on April 25, 2024, at the New Hampshire Veterans Home after a long battle with dementia.

Paul was born on Aug. 26, 1947, in Laconia, the son of the late Eli Larose and Lydia (Cyr) Larose.

Paul attended and graduated from Sacred Heart School and attended New Hampshire Community College where he received a bachelor's degree.

Paul worked as a tool and die maker and machinist and retired from Eptam Plastics. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and attained the rank of sergeant. Paul was in bowling and golf leagues. He loved camping and spent much time at his camp surrounded by friends and family. He spent camping vacations in Maine and New Hampshire sitting around a campfire with family members.

Paul is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cheryl (Gray) Larose; daughter, Tara Larose; son Michael Larose; and grandson, Matthew Larose. He also is survived by his sister Pauline (Charles) Hill and Patricia (Robert) Ballantyne. Paul was very close to his many sister-in-law’s and brother-in-law’s, Laurel and Roy Amey of Pittsburg, New Hampshire, Lindsey and Ann Gray of Pittsburg, New Hampshire, Holly Gray and Mike Petersen, of Pittsburg, New Hampshire; Karen and David Placey, of Merrimack, New Hampshire; Pamela and Wayne Frizzell, of Colebrook, New Hampshire, Arnold and Lucie Gray of Pittsburg, New Hampshire, and Heather Gray and Charles Caron, of Pittsburg, New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews that he enjoyed spending time with. He is predeceased by his parents.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 3 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia.

A memorial service will follow calling hours at 5 p.m.

Burial with military honors will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 9 a.m. at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy., Boscawen, New Hampshire.

The family wishes to thank the family and employees at the New Hampshire Veterans Home for all of their assistance in this difficult time.
