LACONIA — Michael Wayne Glines, 67, passed away on July 1, 2025, after fighting a brave and exhausting battle with Parkinson’s disease.

He was born in Laconia, the son of John H. and Aida M. (Bourque) Glines Jr.

A native of the Lakes Region, Michael graduated from Laconia High School. He continued his education at New Hampshire Community Technical Institute and the University of New Hampshire where he earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Michael was a prestigious electrical engineer, who developed fiber optical test equipment and managed many projects. He was proud of his accomplishments and his family.

He had a joy for skiing, hiking, motorcycles, martial arts and photography. Mike had a love for animals, especially German shepherds, always having one by his side.
