SANBORNTON — Michael L. Johnson, 40, passed away unexpectedly on April 28, 2025.
Michael was born on Jan. 26, 1985, in Worcester, Massachusetts, the son of Kenneth Johnson and Karen (née Demers) Hibberd.
He grew up in Whitefield, and graduated from White Mountains Regional High School.
With a passion for working with his hands and building, Michael worked as a contractor and in the automotive industry doing mechanical work.
Michael was a very easy-going man. He loved camping and loved going to Old Orchard Beach. His favorite “people” were his four-legged friends.
He is survived by his mother, Karen (Roger) Hibberd of Sanbornton; father Kenneth (Nicole) Johnson of Whitefield; sister Brenda Tyler of Lancaster; paternal grandfather, Lawrence Johnson; maternal grandparents, Leo and Doris Demers of Dalton; and several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews; and lifelong partner Cassie and her daughter Courtney.
There are no calling hours.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
