Mary Louise Hoyt passed away peacefully at her home on Jan. 22, 2024, at the age of 86.
Born Nov. 29, 1937, to the late George and Dorothy Dickinson, Mary was raised in Meredith, with her siblings Forrest (Sonny), Janet, Betty, David, Allen, Gerald, Nancy and Billy.
The late Percy Hoyt Jr. and Mary were married and resided in Meredith, where they raised their six children, Donald (Ruth), Percy (Elizabeth), John (Holly), Kelley, Brad and Chris. She was a loving grandmother to Danica, Richard, Sara, Sylvia, Zachary, Jacob, Gracie and John Jr. Mary comes from a large, loving family and leaves behind many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She worked several jobs, eventually retiring from Annalee Dolls. If you knew Mary, you knew her love for flowers. Mary’s green thumb brought beauty to the world through her gardening. Mary loved all flowers, but poppies and peonies were her favorites. Mary was a strong and kind woman. We will miss her every day.
A service to celebrate Mary’s life and legacy will be held in the spring when the flowers bloom, Mary’s favorite time of year. If you would like to honor Mary’s memory, take a close friend or relative out for coffee, lunch or dinner and smile, she will be there.
