GILFORD — Kristina Marie Gleeson, 73, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Sept. 8, 2026.

Kristina was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 3, 1953, the daughter of William and Lois (née Zeyen) Gleeson.

Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to caring for others, both professionally and personally, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Kris was someone the family could depend on, whether they needed practical assistance, a listening ear, a comforting presence, or simply someone who cared.

She was a registered nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital and later at Concord Hospital, where she worked until her retirement. Throughout her nursing career, she understood that caring for someone meant far more than simply treating an illness. It meant listening, offering comfort and helping patients feel safe and valued.

Kristina enjoyed spending time at the lake and the ocean.

Kristina is survived by her brothers, Steve Gleeson and M. Douglas Gleeson; sisters Linda Daneski, Diane Gleeson (Lisa) and Debbie Barros; nephew Brian; nieces Jen (Greg), Ashley (Dave), Lindsey (Josh), Meghan (Howie) and Chelsea; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Addy, Mack, Sully, Jake, Owen, Sara, Brooklynn, Rilynn and Willamina.

No calling hours will be held.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18, at Pinegrove Cemetery.

For those who wish, the family suggests memorial contributions in Kristina’s name be sent to the NH Humane Society, P.O. Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247, or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
